| Motorized camera | Student microphone |
Three motorized cameras are used to generate live video of the instructor and students for transmission to a remote site. The camera pictured at right can follow the instructor's movements throughout the room by tracking the signal from his/her microphone.
The remaining two cameras are mounted on the front wall of the room and move as needed to send video of class participants.
Special microphones have been placed throughout the room for student use. Students who wish to transmit their questions need only push a button to activate their microphone and focus one of the "student" cameras on their position.

| Screens (top) as seen from podium | Screens in close-up |
Two flat format plasma screens have been mounted on the rear wall of the room for use during teleconferences. The instructor has a clear view of the screens from the podium at the front of the room.
The screen on the left shows the signal that's being sent out. The instructor has control over this signal, and can send video from the room cameras, document camera or computer.
The screen on the right shows incoming video from the far site. This is especially useful for the instructor during question and answer periods with remote site students.
